Winner – Fairbrother Construction – Devonport Living City

With a scale, cost and community ambition never before seen in regional Tasmania, and therefore representing a unique challenge, Fairbrother Construction has successfully delivered a project incorporating all of the complexities that one would expect of such a project.  These complexities included the co-ordinated delivery of four distinct building packages – the Paranaple Centre, Providore Place, a multi-level carpark, and the intervening landscaping that surrounds these buildings.  It is to the builder’s credit that the many complexities were surmounted, including significant cost savings, and an extremely high quality of construction achieved that extends from the individual building structures and envelopes through to the details of interior fit-out and exterior landscaping.  In particular, the extensive and complex joinery work within the Paranaple Centre is excellent and has provided an extraordinary level of finish.
