Chief Executive Officer
Matt leads our team in the provision of products and services to our members. He also advocates for the interests of our members and the industry in both government and public forums.
He’s a pretty busy guy but if we can’t find him in the office, we call the local Golf Courses.
Member Engagement Manager
Wendy oversees the management of the commercial functions of MBT, including training, membership, and our GTO.
She has clocked ten years at MBT and knows everyone and everything.
We affectionately call her Queen Wendy.
Member Experience Manager
Victoria heads up the Membership Experience team. Affectionately known as the MEX team they are responsible for events, sponsorship, marketing & communications, membership and of course the Awards for Excellence.
She responds to Victoria, Vic, Tori, Toria but not Vicki.
Executive Assistant (to Executive Director) - Maternity Leave
Tarni provides executive administrative support to our Chief Executive Officer.

Membership & Sponsorship Officer
Jessie is never in the office!
Jessie’s role is to be out and about meeting the membership and ensuring we are supporting them where needed and sourcing new ways to support by working closely with industry suppliers and organisations.
HR / IR Officer
Deb is a small business expert providing advice in the Industrial Relations and Human Resource sectors to our members. What she doesn’t know, she makes it her job to find out.
She is also a very friendly face in our North West office.
Membership Experience Officer
Jenny is the greatest all-rounder. She works on events, membership documents, sponsorship and association admin.
Jenny is the most excellent cook and if you are lucky enough to be in the Devonport office during a holiday event like Christmas, you may even be treated to some of her delicious treats!
Erin is the fun party person.
Her excellent organisational skills means we hold the best regional meetings, member forums, ministerial lunches and of course the Awards for Excellence program and party.
Michael is in charge of the day to day management and operations of the MBT Group Training Organisation.
He also provides members advice and guidance across all MBT products and services including technical support and contract advice.
He is our ‘go to’ guy.
GTO Project Officer
Cam supports and monitors apprentices and their hosts in the South of the state to ensure success and maintain high completion rates through the MBT GTO.
He’s also a pretty decent surfer.
GTO Project Officer
Kate works in the North and North West, supporting and monitoring apprentices and their hosts to ensure success and maintain high completion rates through the MBT GTO.
Kate has the cutest fur baby, Harley.
Northern Office Administrator
Sam manages the day to day operations of the Launceston office and provides administration support to the GTO department.
In her spare time she is a maker of pretty things.
Assistant Training Manager
Amy manages the Training department, including the promotion and organisation of our training courses.
Amy’s knowledge of Taylor Swift is unsurpassed.
Training Project Officer
Holly co-ordinates the Face-to-Face, Job Ready & Construction Safe pathways schools programs and provides admin support in the Training Department.
She is currently completing a Cert IV in Taylor Swift in the Amy Ransley RTO.
Training Administration Trainee
Leah provides administration support in the training department.
Based in Hobart, she is the local IT guru, expertly solving our Zoom issues while rocking to Steely Dan.
Misbah maintains and updates Association’s accounts including accounts payable and receivable, debtors and other facets of the accounts.
She is an expert in Tea and makes a mean Chai!
Shishir provides admin support in the accounts department.
When he isn’t balancing the books, he’s travelling Tasmania enjoying all hot spots.
