Winner – Fairbrother Construction – CH Smith

This is a complex project, encompassing a multi-level carpark, a major new office space that spills into two retained and restored heritage buildings, and the restoration of the freestanding heritage-listed Bond Store, along with associated landscaping and extensive site works.  Fairbrother Construction are to be applauded for successfully pulling these disparate threads together into an holistic single project.  In particular the quality of the interior fit-out, including high sustainability ambitions, and inculcating a constant sense of proximity to the heritage of the site, are a fine advertisement for the best of Tasmanian construction practise.
