Northern Regional General Meeting
Our guest speaker will be Ryan Slater, Senior Building Advisory Officer – Technical Regulation at CBOS.
Discussion topics will include:
- Challenges in upgrading licences from Builder – Low Rise/Residential to Medium Rise, particularly for self-employed builders who may find it difficult to demonstrate experience on Medium Rise projects.
- Clarification around internal wet area inspection requirements – specifically which areas are included (e.g., bathrooms, laundries, WCs).
- Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements, including proposed updates to CPD obligations for Principal Contractors.
The meeting will be chaired by Matthew Barwick (Northern Chairperson) and will attract 1 CPD point (maximum of 4 per year)
